Thank you to Everyone that attended the meeting. I heard from several people who said they couldn’t find parking to come to the meeting so while we had over 250 people at the meeting, the crowd could have been even larger.
Thanks to Sid Miller for taking the lead and bringing the meeting to Glen Rose and for his work behind the scenes to bring the two parties together on a conservancy.

Thank you Dave for our anthem.
Today is the Day that we have a choice in this county. Do we let Tommy Davis grind Chalk Mountain into dust or do we attend the meeting at the Citizen’s Center and tell our Politicians to fight for us against this destruction of Chalk Mountain?
Our commissioners have spoken. They want to keep Chalk Mountain pristine.
What say you?
Representaive Miller will have a town hall meeting tonight at 6pm. The TCEQ meeting is at 7pm. Both are at the Citizen’s Center.
Representative Miller has said in today’s Star Telegram that he is waiting to hear at the TCEQ meeting tonight to see what Tommy Davis has planned for Chalk Mountain. He wants to hear from us as well.

If we stay at home and let our neighbor do the heavy lifting for us, Tommy and his Slick Machine will grind Chalk Mountain into dust. If we turn out, it will give all of our elected officials permission to fight for us.
The choice is yours.
Passing with a 4-0 vote, the Commissioner Court approved a Resolution that is “..supportive of all reasonable efforts to retain the pristine beauty of the Chalk Mountain area”. Please read the full text in the attached.
I have it on fairly good authority this morning that the equipment moved on site yesterday was Rock Screening Equipment, not Rock Crushing Equipment. He is allowed to screen and sell caliches without a permit, similar to other caliches operations in the County. The Rock Screening equipment would be used as part of a Rock Crushing operation as well, so I am NOT saying that this is only going to be a Caliches Pit, we’ll have to ask him that question on Thursday night.
The Sneak Attack Continues!
A neighbor has reported that 4 large pieces of equipment were moved to the site this afternoon. The neighbor reported that they were Rock Crusher components.
I went to the site to look and all the activity is taking place out of sight. Clearly there was a lot of digging going on and you can see large pieces of equipment.
It’s clear that the operator sees the TCEQ meeting as a mear formality…
